# Batch Editing Post Categories

 * So I’m helping a friend streamline his site a bit and I need to batch edit about
   2000 posts to add the same category to each one of them. I’ve tried all the plugins
   but they seem to be outdated and no longer work.
 * My next option would be to run some SQL I suppose, but I have no idea how that
   works, or how to write it. Any suggestions?
