# BB Code Plugin

 * I’m looking for the BB Code plugin which can only be used in comments. The one
   I found was for both comments and posts. I just need it for comments.
 * I know there was one, but I can’t find it right now.

   bbcode plugin. [This](http://www.smrussell.net/blog/index.php?p=35) looks to 
   build upon it.
 * Can you not activate the plugin for use in comments, and then simply not use 
   bbcode in your posts?

 * I don’t think that it will; but I’ve not used it. I should think that the plugin
   would only filter actual bbcode, and not touch anything else.

 * There will be something like this in the plugin (and possibly `the_excerpt`):
 * `add_filter('the_content', 'some_function_name');`
 * Simply comment the line out:
 * `//add_filter('the_content', 'some_function_name');`
 * That will stop the plugin from applying any formatting to your main posts.
