 * Hi – trying to figure out the best way to install WordPress for developing a 
   theme before site launch.
 * Is it possible to move WP from a sub directory to the root without creating database
   issues once the site is ready to launch?
 * I have tried using MAMP and developing using a localhost setup but there are 
   too many glitches I’m experiencing making it nearly impossible to use.

 * It took me awhile to figure out what works best for me for development. I use
   a localhost setup and for awhile, manually did my own process that was pretty
