# Beta Tester Plugin – Avoiding Alphas

 * I would like to use the Beta Tester Plugin to test Betas/Rcs of 4.3, then upgrade
   to the release version of 4.3, all without using FTP. What will I need to do 
   to avoid going from a Beta/RC version of 4.3 to an Alpha version of 4.4 as experienced
   when testing 4.1 (see [here](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/i-now-have-42-alpha-1?replies=39)
   and [here](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/updating-takes-me-to-42-alpha?replies=5))?

 * Right now there’s not an easy way to do that without FTP.
 * Once you’re beta testing, you’re beta testing. :/
