 * Hi there,
 * I love your plugin! Somehow it seems that the fields arent returned when saved.
   Any idea what could be the problem? After saving the text in a box it is displayed
   on the frontend, however in the backend the text box is empty again.
 * Cheers,
    Thomas

 * Hi THAWK
 * What field type are you using (short text, long text, etc), and what text are
   you saving? Does it have any ‘unusual’ characters in it?
    It seems to work fine
   for me in my test installs, so I need to be able to replicate the problem.

 * Hi Shauno,
 * They are short text boxes filled with numbers only.
    The boxes are assigned to
   a custom post type with taxonomy, but dont think that matters. Just created a
   new CPT and Taxonomie and added a new set of boxes with new id’s. Same problem
   occurs.
 * Have no idea where to look to try and fix this.
 * Any help is appreciated.
 * Best regards,
    Thomas

 * Can you try assign a new meta box with custom fields to either plain ‘posts’
   or ‘pages’? It should work the same on a CPT, but let’s see what happens?

 * Just did it, and same result.
 * The funny thing is that the first set I created works fine… and still does.

   The next one returns empty… The data is saved as I can pull it up on the front
   end, however when saving in back end the field is empty again. Same goes for
   the new one, made sure to give it a strange name and id, never used before…
 * I am lost here 🙂
 * thx,
    Thomas

 * Dude, I’m lost here too. I cannot replicated it, with the exception of the ‘media’
   post type (which seems to behave differently to normal post types).
    Can you
   send me an email to shaunalberts AT gmail DOT com, I want to try get some info
   that isn’t good to broadcast on a forum.

 * Woo Hoo, we finally get to mark this as resolved 🙂
 * The problem is a conflict with the ‘related items’ plugin. This plugin is messing
   up a variable that gets passed to all custom meta boxes. Betta boxes was being
   called after ‘related items’, so it never got the correct `$post` variable.
 * I have posted in a thread [here](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/related-items-gone-after-root-url-change2),
   so hopefully the author of ‘related items’ can patch their plugin, so it plays
   nice with others 🙂
