# BirdSITE theme error

 * I just uploaded and activated the theme: birdSITE
    [http://www.top-themes.com/download-birdsite-theme/](http://www.top-themes.com/download-birdsite-theme/)
 * When I go to my blog I just see the following message:
 * Fatal error: Call to undefined function home_url() in /data/15/1/111/121/1437447/
   user/1544255/htdocs/blog1/wp-content/themes/birdsite/header.php on line 21
 * Can anyone help me? Is this theme just bad or am I doing something wrong?

 * I think the `home_url()` function was introduced in Version 3.0 of WordPress.
   Are you using an older version of WordPress? If so you’ll need to upgrade to 
   a newer version to get that theme to work.

 * Oh, I see, this theme is for WordPress 3.0, and I think I’m using 3.0.1. Should
   I just abandoned this theme, or is there any way to easily update it?

 * A WP 3.0 theme should work in a 3.0.1 install. Can I ask how you know that you’re
   using 3.0.1?
