# Birdtips

 * I installed the birdtips theme, as it provides a simple design with a narrow 
   header image, so it puts more space to content.
 * What is strange is the third column that contains “meta” and seems superfluous.
   How can I get rid of that? Should I edit style.css to do so?

 * Thanks, I did it on your advice and it worked.
 * Next one: how can I widen the text body so that the remaining column is at the
   right edge of the screen and the text body is beside it?

 * Do not edit the theme itself. First [create a child theme for your changes](http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes).
   Or install a [custom CSS plugin](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=custom+css).
