Blank Visual Editor Tab

    Hello,

    first I moved my website in server (folder to second folder) and after this problem occurried. Before it was all ok.

    So now, I have problem with Visual Editor Tab – when I edit some subpage I use the Page Builder by SiteOrigin, but to edit texts I use “Black Studio TinyMCE Widget” and when I change to visual editor tab it is blank.

    WP version: 4.0
    Page Builder by SiteOrigin version: 1.5.3
    Black Studio TinyMCE Widget: 2.1.2

    I have also turn on this plugins: Advanced Automatic Updates; amr shortcode any widget; Calendar; Change WP Mail From Details; Event Espresso; Events Manager; Exclude Pages from Navigation; Improved Include Page; Login Logo; Newsletter; NextGEN Gallery by Photocrati; NextGEN Monoslideshow; Page Links To; Redirection; Revolution Slider; Shortcodes Ultimate; Social Icons Widget; Special Recent Posts FREE Edition; TablePress; UK Cookie Consent; Ultimate Tables; URL & Path Shortcodes; WordPress SEO.

    Hi there,
    if the problem occured after you changed the site url (moved to different folder) it’s possible that your widget data has been corrupted. Please check our FAQ about “Widgets disappeared after migrating or changing the site URL”.

    If the problem occurs even for newly created widgets, there may be a conflict with another plugin. In this case please check our FAQ about “Troubleshooting”, in particular take a look at your browser console.

    I don’t know if this will help anyone but I just seen this post and I had the same problem and resolved it. I completely lost functionality of the visual tab, everything that everyone else reports like cannot place cursor inside box, and other strange stuff, finally I gave up.

    I removed all plugins and started again activating one at a time and to my surprise everything was working as it should. What I realised was that on a fresh install I had installed tinyMCE first along with breadcrumbs etc, and then page builder. This time I installed page builder before tinyMCE and it was as simple as that.

    Hopefully this new version of black studio will help that situation happening for some because of the updated compatability stuff for other editors. Me for one am too much of a coward to update to v2.2.0 now that I have it all finally working in harmony.

    You may safely update to 2.2.0 and then revert back to 2.1.6 in case you’re not satisfied with it. The upgrade itself does not modify widgets data if you don’t perform edit operations. Older versions can be downloaded from the Developers page.
