 * Hello,
    I am looking for a plugin to make my site blind friendly. I need it for
   several sites and tried searching the plugins but I’m sure someone has created

 * There is a WP Accessibility plugin ([https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-accessibility/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-accessibility/)),
   and probably others, you can add that will help you set up some accessibility
   features but generally folks who browse the web without eyesight use their own
   screen reader. So having your site “read” itself would not be necessary. You
   can also look on [https://www.section508.gov](https://www.section508.gov) to
   see some of the accessibility standards you can implement on your site.

 * Hello:
 * Overall, accessibility is not about the plugins you use, but rather the way in
   which the site is coded. So, though you might have some problems caused by a
   lack of accessibility in the third-party plugins you use, most accessibility
   problems stem from a site developer not adding alt text or keyboard-navigable
   elements on a page. Before coding the site, I would look at the Web Content Accessibility
   Guidelines (WCAG), provided by the W3 Consortium, as well as the resources provided
   at [http://www.webaim.org](http://www.webaim.org). Once you are finished coding
   and are ready for the site to be tested, I would suggest consulting with a professional
   accessibility tester–preferably a blind one. Perhaps the best testers of this
   kind can be found at _[modetarated]_ and _[modetarated]_ As a blind screen reader
   user and accessibility tester, I could probably put you in touch with some of
   these people personally. Please email me at _[modetarated]_ if you would like
   help with this.
 * Hope this helps,
 * Chris

 * [@lynchburgaccess](https://wordpress.org/support/users/lynchburgaccess/), We
   appreciate you taking the time to help out, but there are a couple of things
   we need to avoid on the forums. One is asking/ providing email addresses and
   the other is advertising services of organisations outside of WordPress.org.
   Once again, thank you for your support.
