# Blocking Googlebot

 * Just thought you should know: on Sept. 22 our site wpgarage.com stopped allowing
   Googlebot to crawl the site and the number of crawl errors registered in Webmaster
   Tools grew every day. The robots.txt was fine, and we couldn’t find any other
   cause for this. Strangely, when I entered the site into [http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/](http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/)
   it said the site was down, even though we could see the site!
 * I finally found the culprit: this plugin. I deactivated it and now the site is
   crawlable by Google. I don’t know why your plugin was blocking Google, but I 
   thought you should know.

 * I just had a look through my clients and they don’t have the same issue. I tried
   [http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/](http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/)
   and eveything is positive from my end. As much as I would love to build a product
   to suit everyone I can’t.

 * Thanks for your reply! Turns out it wasn’t your plugin. It was something to do
   with caching. I don’t know why deactivating your plugin solved the issue partially,
   but it did.
