Hi Max,
I can’t get this issue to repeat on my test site. What version of the theme are you using? Have you tried deactivating your plugins to test if any are conflicting?
Hannah
Hi,
Thank’s for replying !
I think the problem comes from the url.
My blog page is different from my homepage. So there is a blog page that is created and that displays all the articles. The url of this page is mysitename/blog.
But, if I indicate an url type mysitename/category/blog, it’s ok, onmy the selected articles appear.
But this url is not very nice, that’s why I would like to display the first one…
Currently, this blog-archive page is called by a link. Should I change the link to have a correct display?
Xavier
On my test site I can set the link up as mysitename/blog and there’s no issue with displaying only a specific category. Just to confirm, in your blog edit page under Blog Options you have selected a specific category from the blog category dropdown, correct?
Hannah
Yes, yes, I have selected a specific category.
Thanks for the information given
I will still look …
Xavier
Are you using the blog page template? Does your configuration look like this: http://docs.kadencethemes.com/ascend-free/templates/blog-page-template/
Have you cleared your cache?
Hannah
Yes, I use well the blog page template and cleared several times the cache…
I also changed the name of the categories (because one of the categories was called “blog” – I thought eventually it was a confusion).
Currently, I changed the prefix “category” to “blog” and gave other names to the different categories. When I click on these other names, the category archives are displayed correctly. But the blog still shows all categories while only one is selected in the “blog” page.

Can you send me a screenshot of the settings in your blog edit page? I still can’t get this issue to repeat.

Hello,
I understand that you can’t get this problem: when I try a demo site, everything works really well. But not on my website …
I just tried by disabling all the plugins and the problem remains.
Here is the screenshot of the blog setting : https://s26.postimg.org/60s4tusg9/blog_page_settings.png

Ok, I think I may know what’s up. Navigate to Settings > Reading and set the post page to nothing. That should be left blank. I think it is overriding your blog template settings.
Hannah
Oh great, Hannah, you’re wonderful, that’s exactly it !!
I had not thought about it at all. Thank you very much for your excellent support and patience!
Many thanks,
Xavier
No problem! Glad that worked!
