• I use Bold Builder on several sites, and suddenly a strange thing is happening on at least one of them, if not more.

I’ve had to find ways around page builder plugins injecting additional paragraph tags (I’ve also used WP Bakery) but what’s going on at this development site is truly strange.

Not only does it appear that Bold Builder is injecting empty paragraph tags at the beginning and end of every .bt_bb_text div, it’s also displaying the complete content code somehow at the div level as data-content, beginning with a “</p>” tag.

I’ve tried testing with plugins deactivated, and I can’t seem to make this stop. There’s no good way to deal with hiding them with CSS without creating a host of other problems.

You can look around at other pages – https://2025.buffalomusicclub.com – it’s happening everywhere that I’ve built with Bold Builder. You can also compare it to https://bbbsenst.org, another site that I built with Bold Builder, as well as the exact same theme (Kadence).

Here’s a link to a screenshot with examples of what is happening to the code: https://snipboard.io/OPxS5Z.jpg

Thanks in advance for the help!

The main link I supplied is to a portfolio post, which is using Portfolio plugin by RadiusTheme, but this is happening on normal pages too – everywhere that uses Bold Builder.

Any idea on timing for a reply? This is time sensitive, I have some big deadlines coming up. THANK YOU!

For now, I’ve discovered that I can write CSS for “p:empty” so I’ve done some workarounds. I’m still hoping for help on debugging what’s going on, because it is very weird and will likely cause other problems later. If nothing else, duplicating all of the content code into that “data-content” value doubles that content size of every page.

    Hi,

Sorry for the late response – we have installed the theme Kadence in our development environment and were not able to reproduce the issue.

Make sure that you have both the theme and Bold Page Builder updated. Then, please try to deactivate the third party plugins one by one and check if one of them is causing the issue for some reason. It the issue persist, with only the theme and Bold Page Builder, please send us the site url, wp-admin and ftp credentials to [email protected] and we will take a closer look at the issue.

    Kind regards,

    BoldThemes team

Thanks for reaching back out. I did some further plugin testing, and this time, the extra code injection is isolated to portfolio posts (generated via the RadiusTheme plugin). However, the weird “data-content” field is still filled with the complete underlying content, even when all of the other plugins are turned off. It doesn’t happen on any other Kadence / Bold Builder site that I work on.

I’ll set you up with site admin credentials and FTP access shortly.

So I’m beginning to suspect that this is Open AI, which I have not enabled. Here are screenshots from this site and another site with Bold Builder and Kadence.
