# Book Rev Lite: Theme (functions.php)

 * After researching and trying to apply code to manage the excerpt length of my
   posts I received this fatal error from WordPress:
 * Fatal error: Cannot redeclare custom_excerpt_length() (previously declared in/
   home4/brada/public_html/wp-content/themes/book-rev-lite/functions.php:407) in/
   home4/brada/public_html/wp-content/themes/book-rev-lite/functions.php on line
   1181
 * I tried to fix the problem but am not very knowledgeable when it comes to coding.
   The only solution I can think of is if someone can copy the Book Rev Lite Theme’s
   functions.php code into notepad and send it to me so I can replace my code.
 * I know it’s a lot to ask but I’m in a jam and it would be really appreciated.

 * Your theme “book-rev-lite” seems to be the issue.
 * To rule out any theme specific issue, try switching to the unedited default Twenty
   Fifteen theme for a moment using the WP dashboard.

 * This did not work. I downloaded the theme and copied the functions.php file in
   an attempt to fix the error. Is there another way to resolve this problem?

 * Anytime I try to navigate away from the functions.php page the error screen loads.
   I can’t uninstall the current theme or do any changes from within WordPress.
