 * My website represents a USA-based construction company, and over the past few
   days, it has been continuously targeted by bot traffic (fake bot attacks). As
   a result, my website’s bounce rate is increasing significantly.
 * I have already installed Wordfence Premium, but it does not seem to be effectively
   detecting or blocking these bots. In fact, Wordfence is not even properly tracking
   them.
 * I would like to know how I can identify and block these bots effectively.
 * I would like to request assistance from Wordfence customer support to investigate
   this issue in detail. If possible, I would appreciate the opportunity to schedule
   an online meeting to review the situation together.
 * This matter is urgent, and I would like to have it resolved as soon as possible.

 * Hi [@muzzamilk32](https://wordpress.org/support/users/muzzamilk32/),
 * Wordfence’s rate-limiting and brute-force protection settings are designed to
   automatically handle bot traffic. Rate limiting throttles or blocks IPs making
   excessive requests, and brute force protection handles repeated login attempts.
   You can review and adjust both of these at **Wordfence > All Options > Firewall
   > Rate Limiting** and **Wordfence > All Options > Firewall > Brute Force Protection**.
 * You can find our recommended settings at [https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/brute-force/](https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/brute-force/)
   and [https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/rate-limiting/](https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/rate-limiting/)
 * It’s also worth making sure your firewall is optimized to Extended Protection,
   which allows Wordfence to catch and block requests before WordPress fully loads.
   You can check this at **Wordfence > Firewall > Manage WAF > Protection Level**.
 * These features are all available in the free version of the plugin. Since you
   have a Premium license, you can also open a ticket through the **Get Help **button
   under your license at [https://www.wordfence.com/licenses](https://www.wordfence.com/licenses)
   for additional assistance.
 * Hope that helps,
   Margaret
