Bought a WordPress Site. Database Import Problems
-
SO I just bought an established wordpress blog. I am trying to transfer it to my host.
I created a new database on my host and a new user for that database
I changed the user name and the database name and the database password in the wp_config.php file and uploaded all the wordpress files to my host under a new directory, so now I have all the wordpress files for my new blog in a fresh new directory. Then I went into phpmyadmin to upload the sql database file provided by the person who i bought the site from.
Because I had made a new database, I had no pre-existing tables in there, so I went ahead with the import and I get the following error message –
Error
SQL query:
INSERT INTO

#1064 – You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘This link will take you to the URL http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1%26%23’ at line 2Any help with this would be appreciated. I know nothing about SQL at all.
Thanks
