 * I have a site that is has gmail for the email handler. I am attempting to setup
   ALO EasyMail Newsletter to be able to check the [newsletter@xyz.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/bounce-setup-with-gmail/newsletter@xyz.com?output_format=md)
   account. IMAP or POP is fine, but gmail requires the following:
    Incoming Mail(
   IMAP) Server – Requires SSL
 *  imap.gmail.com
    Port: 993 Requires SSL:Yes
 * Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server – Requires TLS
 *  smtp.gmail.com
    Port: 465 or 587 Requires SSL: Yes Requires authentication:
   Yes Use same settings as incoming mail server
 * If your client does not support SMTP authentication, you won’t be able to send
   mail through your client using your Gmail address.
    — Its that last bit that
   I think is the crux of my problem. Is there a way to configure this to work with
   GMail?
 * Many thanks!
    Joshua

 * Hi, go to _Newsletters > Settings > tab Bounces_ and setup the bounce settings
   with your gmail account as following.
 * >  Email address: [your-account@gmail.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/bounce-setup-with-gmail/your-account@gmail.com?output_format=md)
   >
   > Server host: imap.gmail.com Port number: 993 Protocol: IMAP Folder: (empty)
   > Username: [your-account@gmail.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/bounce-setup-with-gmail/your-account@gmail.com?output_format=md)
   > Password: (your-gmail-password) Optional flags: /ssl/novalidate-cert
 * Then save and test the connection in settings.
 * If the test works but the live bounces do not work yet, you can try using your
   gmail account as the sender email (in _Newsletters > Settings > tab Newsletter
   >”Sender’s email address” option_).
