Hi Robert,
I hope you’re doing well. I apologize for my belated reply; I’ve been writing and testing two updates simultaneously:
1. https://github.com/sybrew/the-seo-framework/compare/4.2.3…28fc19a46cdd5bd7e332cfd6c56bf89357923e28
2. https://github.com/sybrew/The-SEO-Framework-Extension-Manager/compare/2.5.2…a5679f3c29b9a04bdc7cdb8c93d418923d441110
I also write to every support topic personally; canned copy-pasta replies are not my favorite food.
Like The SEO Framework, GeneratePress is maintained by a single developer strapped for time. Much as Tom never found the time to develop breadcrumbs and relied on third-party solutions such as Yoast SEO, we chose to wait for WordPress to ship a breadcrumbs block natively.
Until then, I recommend using Breadcrumbs NavXT. It lets you implement such a breadcrumb via a shortcode but offers far greater control (a for-purpose plugin).
Primary Term support for breadcrumb plugins is planned, but please excuse me, for we haven’t gotten around to that yet (not many people demand this feature). However, this year, I will (try to) add all these nice-to-haves to The SEO Framework. For this issue specifically, please see https://github.com/sybrew/the-seo-framework/issues/407.
If you’re having difficulties implementing breadcrumbs using, let me know!

Thanks for your reply Sybre! I understand so no worries about the delay. I had Brian from perfmatters.io who helped me with your plugin. He’s a HUGE fan of your work, recommending it everywhere.
I have one thing left to solve and maybe you could help with it.
This is an example link to an article page:
https://www.retetediabetici.ro/page/4/?p=yigdntjgl
Google is indexing this page like this: “Pagina 4 – Retete Diabetici” where Pagina means page. Also, the title of the page becomes very long by adding “Pagina 4” to it.
Is there any way I can customize the name and the number of this pages and make them more SEO friendly because it’s killing me to see them like this 🙂
Best regards,
Robert
Hi Robert,
Google still has indexed old versions of those pages supported by Rank Math, which does not represent what The SEO Framework would output. TSF invokes “Advanced Query Protection” when encountering such URLs, blocking it from reaching Google’s index.
It can take a few days (or weeks) for Google to reprocess already indexed pages. You can ask Google to reprocess pages quickly using the URL Inspection Tool. https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/9012289?hl=en
This doesn’t answer your question directly, for I think we’re dealing with an XY problem. I believe waiting for Google to reprocess those broken-query pages with TSF enabled will help resolve the issue.

Thanks, Sybre,
It makes perfect sense now 🙂 those URLs are not in the sitemap anymore so I will wait for Google to remove them naturally.
Kind regard,
R.
