 * I have tried very hard to have 3 x breakpoints with this theme and the query
   loop; it seems that the theme is hardcoded in a special way—code wise, to give
   you only 2 x breakpoints out of the box.
 * I need 3 or 4 columns in desktop, then 2 in tablet and 1 x mobile view.
 * I already checked the other thread with the search, and the OP only uses 2 x
   columns.
 * Please help. Thank you

 * Hi [@rawdolphe](https://wordpress.org/support/users/rawdolphe/), the breakpoints
   for the layout changes are coded into the core handling of layout within WordPress(
   rather than specific to the theme).
 * It definitely _is_ possible to adjust those with CSS to have layouts break at
   different points. Do you have a URL of an example page where you’d want that
   kind of setup? Is it only the columns block you’d want to make that change for?

 * Hi @joredesign,
 * Thanks for your reply. I was testing 2024 locally. Few days ago I decided to
   go with GeneratePress and Blocks which is very similar in fact, so will have
   all the options I was missing.
 * I was nearly there with 2024, but I am not a coder / developer so it wouldn’t
   have been easy to get the result I was looking for…
 * I have to say, I was very impressed with 2024, and I am sure it will get even
   more flexible eventually.

 * Hi again,
 * I am **re-considering** using 2024 for a <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”
   >personal project</span>, so if anyone knows how to add the extra CSS breakpoints
   for mobile responsiveness in the Query loop / Archives, I would still be interested.
 * **I still think that going from 3 or 4 x columns straight to 1 x doesn’t make
   any practical sense at all!**
 * Who agrees / disagrees?

 * Hi [@fixingwpthemes](https://wordpress.org/support/users/fixingwpthemes/),
 * **Thank you so much**, will try this asap and will report back!
 * That code looks more advanced, I knew it wasn’t gonna be something ‘straightforward’.

 * Hi again [@fixingwpthemes](https://wordpress.org/support/users/fixingwpthemes/),
 * Just tested it — it’s still going from 3 x columns straight to 1 x column 🙁
