Broken backend & frontend search

    Hi there! I’m running into an issue where when CPT is activated both the backend (even the standard Posts page) and frontend searches always return 0 results. I’m searching words directly from the title and I’ve tried switching to the default theme.

    Any help or insight would be appreciated!

    Do you have any plugins or custom code somewhere that are affecting search functionality ?

    What post type slugs do you presently have registered?

    Out of box, CPTUI shouldn’t be affecting queries in any way, but I could believe slugs unknowingly affecting things internally.

    I don’t believe I have any search-related plugins installed but I’ll drop a list below in case it is helpful.

    I have a bunch of single letter slugs – maybe that is the reason?

    I would be extremely surprised if it was NOT because of your s post type since WordPress searching is based on/?s=query structures. If that can be updated to something else, I suspect your search results will return.
