I was changing some of the code in the header for google’s web master tools and then found that I could do what I needed without changing the code so I changed it back to its original code. Unfortunately there is something now wrong with my header code. See my website at http://www.findthecaptital.com above the logo in the header. Any idea how I can fix this?

Try re-uploading a fresh, unpacked, copy of your theme using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

Do I delete the current them and then re-upload it?

Use Pastebin to share the full text of your header.php file (the edited file) in a link here. We can take a peak.

If you can delete the theme’s folder in wp-content/themes and then re-upload the fresh copy, so much the better.

esmi, just to be clear, I should change the theme I’m currently using to a different one, delete the theme I was using, then re-upload the deleted theme via FTP and then turn turn the theme back on?

Andrew, Just re-pased the code as I forgot to keep the url from the first time through. The new URL is:

I wanted to compare the sites output HTML (source code) and the header file, but the site is now down. Contact web host.

If that was all you edited, replace the header.php with the original from the theme download using FTP.

Looks like I got it fixed. Thank you.

Oddly enough the site is still down…If you have decided the issue is fixed, may we inquire why you believe so?

Seacoast, which site are you referencing? My site http://www.findthecapital.com is working fine now. Is it not coming up for you?

Cloudflare is in use – site was down…you can turn Cloudflare off when working on live site…

Not sure I understand. Are you saying my site is down right now? I’m somewhat of a newby when it comes to this stuff.
