 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC, expecting ‘)’ in /home1/slthom/
   public_html/wp-content/plugins/testimonials-widget/lib/aihrus/class-aihrus-common.
   php on line 44
 * Site won’t load until I delete the plugin

 * [@slthom](https://wordpress.org/support/users/slthom/), Your issue is PHP related.
   At some point, you’re going to need to update to a PHP version that isn’t end
   of life’d like PHP 5.2 has been for almost 3 years.

   for how to get up to date. Either now or later, WordPress is going to need the
   same PHP update completed.

 * It has to be something other than the PHP version. Hostgator is using PHP 5.3
   as I provisioned this hosting a few weeks ago. It would be PHP 5.3 by default
   with 5.2 not even being available

 * Your error message is PHP 5.2 related.
 * I would suggest that you confirm such by putting a `<?php phpinfo(); ?>` check
