 * I am currently running WordPress 5.5.3 with Genesis 3.3.3 and Version 3.4.1.13(
   free) of the Smart Slider 3 plugin. Since the WP5.5 update, the backend admin
   interface for Smart Slider has been broken. Instead of the usual layered and
   tabbed interface, all of the interface elements just run together in one vertical
   list. I can still navigate around and edit things, but it is difficult to view.
   I have been checking for interference from WP plugins, browser plugins, caching,
   etc. but no luck so far. The actual slider functions correctly when used, it’s
   just the admin GUI that is messed up. Other plugins do not show this issue. Should
   I just remove and reinstall the plugin? Thanks.

 * Hi [@vstlife](https://wordpress.org/support/users/vstlife/)
 * I couldn’t reproduce this problem with the latest version of Smart Slider 3 and
   WordPress. So yes, first I would also suggest removing your current installation
   of Smart Slider 3, then go to your Plugins list > Add new > and install Smart
   Slider 3 again from the plugin library.
 * If the problem still occurs even after that, then I think something may prevent
   us from loading our styles. So you should open the console like you see here:
    - [https://smartslider.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1935-troubleshooting-with-your-browser#jserror](https://smartslider.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1935-troubleshooting-with-your-browser#jserror)
 * then navigate to the backend of Smart Slider 3 where you see the problem occur.

   A red error will probably show up in the console, if it does, could you tell
   us what error message you receive exactly?
 * If you don’t want to share it here, feel free to open a support ticket:

 * Best regards,
    Laszlo.
