• I had been editing my WordPress blog with a Chrome browser since I moved it to WordPress about a week ago. I have a major problem now.

I first tried WP editor plugin, it wasn’t what I wanted. I then tried TinyMCE, and it too didn’t do the trick. But now they are both gone, and my page only looks relatively normal in Firefox, and anything I do with links in looks, well weird.

An example is on my homepage, I have a spot welcoming visitors. I put a link to my crystal blog category. It has about 6 empty spaces in no matter what I do. Of course I tried to find a cause in the code. Nothing there. I just don’t get it.

This phenomenon just began, and I am afraid it will keep popping up. This as I have tried everything I can think of to put that one link right. The strangest thing is that the one sitting right next to it goes in right each attempt without issue.

I tried taking the text and cleaning out all formatting on Notepad, that didn’t help either.

Please tell me what I can do, I can’t continue with my site broken this way.

My url is http://judesmetaworld.com. I wish I didn’t have to leave a url, as I seem to be having various issues arise… oh well.

  • Hi LemnisCate8

Hard to see which gap you are referring to as I cant see the

It has about 6 empty spaces

issue. Maybe you should do a quick screenshot to show what you are referring to. Unfortunately your content is littered with unnecessary inline html and css, manual line dividers etc – so it is quite hard to see which ones are intentional and which aren’t.

I had a look at your site. Can you screen grab and annotate what you mean by:

I put a link to my crystal blog category. It has about 6 empty spaces in no matter what I do.

Post the link to the screengrab back in here.

As far as I can see, it looks fine?

I took a snipping tool cut of it and pasted it into my site, but you can’t see it. So instead I cut and pasted the error into a page for you to see.

    Here is the link: http://www.judesmetaworld.com/about-us/

It’s the spaces before the crystal blog category link that are causing me issue.

Okay, I found a plugin. It breaks the page upon load, but it does cure that issue. Hmm, I hope something better comes out I put in the ‘Browser Compatibility’ plugin. Thereafter, the first attempt at correction worked out fine.

By the way, can anyone tell me if the delay in load time that this browser compatibility gadget causes is just at my end? Or will it affect those reading too?
