 * It looks like the firewall settings for bad character strings and the legacy 
   5G settings interfere with the reading of browserconfig.xml. Is there a way around
   this without compromising the security features?

 * Please don’t use 5G feature, it is old and not supported anymore. This will be
   removed in the future.
 * Please test 6G rules and report back.

 * Same problem here with latest version.
 * If you enable 6G or 5G, access to browserconfig.xml is blocked.
 * One can test using the “Favicon by RealFaviconGenerator” plugin and activate 
   a Favicon.
