# BUG – Null Dates

 * Still loving this plugin .. thanks again.
 * I have noticed an issue with NULL dates. I have two dates on one of my tables
   that are not required fields and hence can be NULL. When I view the table data
   via PHPMyAdmin, I can see that the fields are in fact NULL. However when I view
   the table data via Explorer in WPDA the dates default to today’s date. The information
   is not stored on the database, but it is displayed as today’s date.
 * If I try to edit a row via WPDA with a NULL date, then the edit screen does not
   show today’s date, it shows the date as NULL.
 * If I edit the row and either leave those dates NULL or insert a date into one
   or both of those date fields, then I am able to save the changes. The new edited
   date is shown correctly in Explorer, however if one is still NULL, it still reflects
   as today’s date.
 * If I edit the row once the date fields are NOT NULL i.e. they now have dates,
   and I now try to NULL those dates, WPDA won’t allow it and it displays the WP
   critical error message: “There has been a critical error on your website. Please
   check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”
 * It’s not a true critical error as everything still works exactly as before, that
   row has just not been updated. I also don’t receive a message about it in my 
   site admin inbox as the message says, but that is neither here nor there.
 * I hope that explains it. If you need more details, let me know. I can work around
   this issue, but just pointing it out as a possible fix for a future release.

   easier it is to find the bug and fix it. 🙂 I added this bug to my to do list.
   I’ll try to add a fix to the next release and let you know when it is done.
