# Bug – plugin slows down posting

 * Thanks for making this plugin, which is a nice and helpful idea.
 * But I have to report, that it increases the “posting time” in groups, thereby
   putting off users from the platform, that are used to Facebook’s instant reaction.
 * When I deactivate the plugin, the time from clicking ‘send’ on a group activity
   to it appears in the group stream goes from +10 seconds to around 3 seconds. 
   My users have been double posting updates, since they click ‘send’ several times,
   while they wait for the update to appear.
 * I hope you can remedy this, since the plugin is really helpful in terms of getting
   traffic to a bp group.
 * Current WP and BP versions.

    turns out 
   Boone’s second suggestion to change the timeout fixed my speed issues. I haven’t
   yet confirmed that emails are still going out though.

    I have tried out Boone’s second
   snippet as well, and it fixes the delay problem.

 * My emails are sent. Problem seems to be solved.
