When you click on the vertical mobile or tablet icon, you are ejected from this display control and go back to the default desktop view.Disabling the Widget Options extension fixes the issue. I was able to test this bug on several sites with different combinations like changing the breakpoints which do not fix the bug. I took over a site that uses the Widget Options plugin. The previous web developer / web designer had no idea what he is doing so he just left most plugin features enabled an left the plugin installed.
