 * Hey all,
 * I am still learning WP. I am working on a site and realized that the header seems
very buggy. The hover color change doesn’t always work. Clicking on the page
links seems to work only occasionally. What’s going on here? I am using Elementor
which seems like a standard plugin.
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fbuggy-headers%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)
   to see the link]_

 * I recommend getting in touch with Elementors’s support about this via [https://elementor.com/support/](https://elementor.com/support/)
if you have Elementor Pro or [https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/elementor/](https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/elementor/)
   if you do not.

 * Is elementor not one of the major plugins for development? Just trying to understand
how I can avoid this issue in the future.\

 * It is a frequently used plugin, yes. However, But since it’s not part of the
WordPress core, you should contact the plugin’s support if you have any questions.

 * Understood. Thank you! Is there a more reliable plugin you can recommend. I’m
still just learning the ropes here and just want something that works consistently.

 * I’m not seeing any issues with your site header. But I’ve not interacted with
it as much as you, so maybe I’m just lucky. Intermittent issues can be very difficult
to diagnose. However, the tasty menu button on your home page definitely does
not work. It does not appear to be a link, nor does it appear to have a JS event
listener attached to it that could make the jump for us. As this button is an
Elementor object, their support forum is the best place to seek resolution.
 * Once you’ve built content using Elementor, you’re kind of stuck using it unless
you’re willing to start over using a different page builder. Because content
is closely tied to the tool used, I recommend using the default, built-in tools
that are always part of WP. If you choose to use one of the newer block themes,
you can use the full site editor (FSE) to build your site’s content. Content
built with FSE tends to be more portable and less dependent on which page builder
was used than content built with a plugin based page builder.
 * This is not to say that you will not encounter bugs in FSE. Bugs are everywhere
🙁 Also, FSE will probably be lacking some of the features you’ve grown to like
about Elementor. But there’s nothing more “WordPressy” than FSE itself.
 * TBH, if you otherwise like Elementor, I don’t think the problems you’re encountering
are alone enough of a reason to change. Something is not right there that should
be resolvable. But if you prefer to be less dependent on third party plugins,
give FSE a try. You can always go back to Elementor if you don’t like FSE. Just
be sure to make a full backup of what you have now so that going back will be
   easy.
