 * I would like to use the newest version from github, because I need the CloudFlare
geoip functionality, which is not yet in 2.5.7.
 * How do I do this? Just download and zip up the whole git repository, and upload
   it to my wordpress site?

 * Yes indeed. There are more files in the repo than needed (for testing) but they
will disappear automatically the next time you update.
 * The Git repo should be stable, actually I am planning to release this in the
coming weeks, so any feedback is welcome. The special thing about the cloudflare
support is that the plugin will enrich the country data as far as possible (cloudflare
only returns UK, and the plugin will add the country labels, continent data and
   so on.)

 * Hey Benjamin, thanks for the fast reply! I installed and tried it (I can now
see Cloudflare in the WP settings).
 * However, I’m trying to use it together with this plugin: [http://www.wpshore.com/plugins/contact-form-7-leads-tracking/](http://www.wpshore.com/plugins/contact-form-7-leads-tracking/)
 * And that doesn’t seem to work anymore. Did something in the API change with the
new version? (Also strange that I can see it twice now in the WP plugins, the
old and new version at the same time, with the old one disabled currently)

 * No, the API didn’t change.
 * But the version you linked is a very old one, did you mean this one?

 * Actually some days ago I added a similar feature to the github version:
    [https://github.com/yellowtree/wp-geoip-detect/wiki/API-Documentation#insert-the-geoinfos-of-the-user-into-the-email-text](https://github.com/yellowtree/wp-geoip-detect/wiki/API-Documentation#insert-the-geoinfos-of-the-user-into-the-email-text)

 * Yes, I actually meant the newer one, you’re right.
 * But if the API didn’t change… how does the plugin know which version to pick (
the “current” or the “beta”) if both are activated in the plugins section?
 * Ah, cool. I’ll try that.

 * Well you shouldn’t activate both – I actually would delete the 2.5.7 version
and rename the new folder to “geoip-detect”. The question is also, did the test
lookup on the lookup page work with cloudflare?

 * He Benjamin
 * Renaming did the trick, it also works with the contact form plugin now! Thanks
for your help, works flawlessly through cloudflare now 😀
