No this just deletes them to stop spam comments you will want to add some security and check the keyword comment spam in the plugin repository to get a good spam plugin.

Get Akismet, they should be marked spam, either by Akismet ot you.
After that…don’t let it get to 40,000 again.

I have over 40,000 spam comments and I don’t know how to remove them in bulk. Currently I am only allowed to delete 20 at a time. Also how to prevent this from happening again? Please help, Candi.
