Business Cluster Plugin?

I operate a 501(c)3 entity. Among the things I work on, I am helping to get a handful of common businesses together to network – to share best practices, to learn more about each other, etc.
My goal would be to find a Plug-in that lets me:

– Allow business owners to create a business profile (minimal) on my site
– Share these profiles in a MEMBERS area, where anyone can view this profile

I’d probably follow-up with a Google Groups discussion tool, an events list (I can do this) and a few others. where I’m lacking skills and experience is with a way to highlight my members (invite only) so we can get on with business and networking.

Is there something like this out there? Any thoughts would be greatly helpful
