Now I’m migrating my blog to self-hosted wordpress.org space, and I took the opportunity to update my theme to Button 2. But the Button 2 theme doesn’t seem to offer the “Default” option for Blog Dispaly settings. Can this be turned on somewhere, or can I request the feature be added back in? I want super short post formats like Quotes to display fully and formatted appropriately, but I want my longer Standard posts to be displayed as excerpts. When you activate it, you should get the Content Options panel in your Customizer. The issue wasn’t that Content Options wasn’t appearing, only that a particular option within that panel wasn’t available in Button 2 that IS available in Button (on wordpress.com). However, I discovered that the issue is that Button 2 does not support post formats, whereas Button does. So, I have switched my self-hosted site to Button, but now I have another problem: the Content Options panel no longer appears at all in Button on my self- hosted site, while it DOES appear on my wp.com site. And I can’t figure out where else in my dashboard those settings would be (Blog Display settings, Post Details settings, and Featured Image settings).
