# bytes exhausted on users.php

 * Hello there!
    I’ve more than 46.000 registered users in my wordpress site and
   now when I go to users area on wordpress, I can only see this message:
 * Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 83886080 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate
   71 bytes) in /home/public_html/wp-admin/users.php on line 257
 * I really need help to solve this problem.
    I’ve updated plugins, removed the 
   unnecessary plugins and the message is still there.

 * But is there another way too do this without always having to increase the php
   memory?
    I had 80MB until now. And with 80 new registered users per day I don’t
   know how much longer the users.php will handle with the 100MB I have now… I’m
   asking this because my host says that it’s not normal to take so much memory 
   and this can maybe be an error in wordpress programming.

 * I’m not sure it’s normal to have 46000 registered users either 🙂
 * Strictly out of curiosity: Why so many?
 * If a query must return 46K rows and more every day, it does make a certain sort
   of sense that more memory is going to be needed as well.

 * My website is very famous in it’s target. 😉
    And I ask the users to register
   if they want to see the full content of the posts. I have at least 60 new registered
   users on each day and I don’t know for how long it will work with the 100MB… 
   🙁
