# Cache configuration question

 * Hi Raam,
 * Just wanted to understand something, I was planning to mount the cache path /
   wp-content/cache/zencache on RAM disk ‘tempfs’. I believe RAM is faster than 
   disk drives.
 * Is this going to improve the speed or is it going to be counter productive in
   the long run.

   of any immediate issues with doing that, so long as ZenCache has no problem writing
   and deleting cache files from the disk. That said, speeding up disk writing using
   a RAM disk might not do much to improve the overall speed of your site, as there
   are many other bottlenecks to consider (network, DNS, web server software, etc.).
