# Cache Error…..?

 * Hi all,
 * I’m getting this weird message at the top of every page while working in WP.
 * Warning! WP Super Cache caching broken! The script advanced-cache.php could not
   load wp-cache-phase1.php.
 * Please edit /home/HOSTGATORLOGINAME/public_html/MYWEBSITENAME.com/wp-content/
   advanced-cache.php and make sure the path to /home/HOSTGATORLOGINAME/public_html/
   MYWEBSITENAME.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/wp-cache-phase1.php is correct.
 * I tried changing and activating different themes…and still get the same message(
   sigh).
 * Anyone know what this is and how to correct it?

 * BTW this is the exact message i’m getting at the top of everypage WHILE working
   in WP.

 * ….also **i have 2 other sites under my “baby account” at Hostgator…and neither
   of the other 2 get this message.
    
   
    thanks for any constructive input you can
   give.

 * PS.
 * I deactivated it…and the error went away.
 * Now the question is…**do i need that plugin?**
