 * I would really appreciate if you took your time to write down all the files that
need to be excluded from a cache-plugin with your plugin.
 * I think it’s common sense to do so, please see how others are doing it here:
 * I’ve spent enough hours guessing, and reading your replays you haven’t addressed
it… Please explain to me, and all the readers, which files (JS and CSS, and pages-
if any) that need to be excluded and were (minify, database, object, browser
and/or page) for the “log in- need to refresh the browser to login- problem”
   to go away.
 * I need this to work asap, appreciate a quick feedback… Thank you for a GREAT
   plugin!

 * Hi [@ppp12345](https://wordpress.org/support/users/ppp12345/)
 * Caching our CSS and JavaScript shouldn’t cause such problems, so excluding those
   won’t fix such problems.
But what we rather suggest excluding from the cache
is the page that the OAuth flow is being handled over:
    - By default it is the /wp-login.php page ( that is usually excluded )
    - If you use a plugin to change the url of the /wp-login.php, then the new URL
may need to be excluded if it is not excluded by default.
    - If you use the “OAuth redirect uri proxy page” at our Global Settings > General
tab, then you should exclude the selected page from the cache.
 * Anyways if you need to refresh / hard refresh the page to see the logged in version
of the page, then that is usually caused by the cache-control header:
which makes your site keep returning the earlier cached HTML where the user was
not logged in, yet. We handle the login the same way as WordPress does, so if
you inspect the cookies while the problem occurs, you will see that the wordpress_logged_in_[
   hash] cookie: [https://wordpress.org/support/article/cookies/#users-cookie](https://wordpress.org/support/article/cookies/#users-cookie)
is already set, just the returned HTML of your site doesn’t show the live result
but instead the cached one, and that is what causes the problem.
 * So I am sorry, but this problem rather needs to be fixed on the end, where the
cache control header is set. In most cases it is set by the host.
    In either
way, if you could send me a link to the page where I can see the problem occur,
I could check it for you, if the problem is indeed caused by the cache-control
   header.
 * In case if you don’t want to share the URL of your website here, then feel free

 * Hi !
I’m experiencing the same issue at the moment and i think i’ve found a
way to solve it with LiteSpeed cache plugin (things should not be very different
   with W3 Total Cache).
 * After having investigated by activating the cache options one after the other,
it turns out that the problem occurs as soon as the “object cache” is activated.
 * To keep this object cache activated, perhaps we could add, a specific group to
   the exclusions ?
 * I still didn’t find the good one to add, if plugin support could help with this,
   i’d love them 🙂

 * Okay, after activating debug mode, i’ve found my issue comes from the cookie.

   I’ll open a new thread.

 * Hi [@nexttrends](https://wordpress.org/support/users/nexttrends/)
 * I made a test with the Object cache feature of LiteSpeed Cache, but the problem
didn’t occur for me. ( Specifically, I tested it with Redis. )
 * Just to find out if the problem is indeed connected to LiteSpeed Cache, could
you try logging in with Nextend Social Login a couple of times while LiteSpeed
Cache is disabled. So you could find out if the problem occurs that way, too.

Note: while you are testing the login make sure you don’t have developer tools
open or if you have then make sure the “Disable cache” is not ticked on the Network
   tab: [https://www.webinstinct.com/faq/how-to-disable-browser-cache#:~:text=When%20you’re%20in%20Google,close%20out%20of%20Developer%20Tools](https://www.webinstinct.com/faq/how-to-disable-browser-cache#:~:text=When%20you’re%20in%20Google,close%20out%20of%20Developer%20Tools).
since if it is, then that may hide the problem.

    Laszlo.

 * I am not sure if this helps anyone and not a direct fix for the issues – however,
whilst I experience aggressive caching (still undetermined) I made a workaround
it by adding a random query string parameter after the user logins using the
   google_login_redirect_url filter (for Google).
 * Just incase it gets you through a spot of trouble 🙂

 * Thank you for your feedback [@omgstu](https://wordpress.org/support/users/omgstu/)
and yes your suggestion may work in some cases, as some cache providers will
return the live results if there is a query parameter set in the URL. So basically
that disables the cache for the page with a query parameter.
 * But unfortunately, we can not guarantee that it will solve the problem for everybody,
as there are also other cache providers that will return the earlier cached results
   with query parameters, too.
