 * I’m having an issue with verifying my site ownership. I see the “Your site may
not be ready for Site Kit” message on the dashboard, try to proceed anyways and
get “The necessary verification token could not be found on your site. This may
be related to your site using a page caching plugin. Please flush your home page
   cache and then try again.”
 * I’ve read through other topics and followed the same steps. I do have a MU cache
plugin, but have it disabled. Any ideas what I’m missing?
 * I’ve filled out the form provided in other topics incase helpful.
 * Thanks!

 * Hello [@jfwy](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jfwy/) and thanks for getting
in touch. Sorry to hear you are having this issue.
 * Thanks for providing your information that’s very useful. Would you please be
able to perform the following which could rule out any third party plugin conflicts:
    1. Login to your site from a Chrome browser [incognito window](https://imgur.com/ALzgiHp).
    2. Install and activate the [Health Check & Troubleshooting](https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/)
       plugin.
    3. Navigate to “**Plugins > Health Check & Troubleshooting > Troubleshoot**”.
    4. From the same screen click on the “**Available Plugins**” tab at the top right
and then click on the “**Enable**” option next to “**Site Kit by Google**”.
    5. Attempt to setup Site Kit once more.
 * You can exit troubleshooting mode afterwards.
 * Let me know if you have any questions on the above.

 * Thanks [@adamdunnage](https://wordpress.org/support/users/adamdunnage/) ! I tried
the above, but am getting the same error.

 * Thanks for your efforts with that and sorry to hear this hasn’t worked. I can
see that your website is behind a login wall. I presume that is powered by the
   Custom Login Page Customizer.
 * Would it be possible at all for you to temporarily disable this and make the
site publicly available before checking once more to see if you get the same
   message in Site Kit?

 * thanks for the quick reply! I disabled the login wall, and no joy. Then tried
trouble shooting mode with site kit enabled, with login still disabled, and still
   no joy. Any other ideas?

 * No problem at all. Thank you once more for trying these steps.
 * It seems that your REST endpoints are not accessible. Do you see any errors or
warnings when checking your Site Health status? This can can checked [here](https://i.imgur.com/wSRWwon.png).
 * If possible would you also be able to provide a video screen recording of your
deactivating your login wall and then checking Site Kit afterwards. This will
help us with our troubleshooting. You can use the the Site Health form you used
previously to provide your video privately to us.
 * Please let me know if you have any further questions.

 * As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open
   a [new support topic](https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/google-site-kit/#new-topic-0)
if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to
   assist.
