Caching or Optimizing For Higher Traffic?

    Hi,

    I’m wondering if there is anyway to optimize the BP profile search for higher traffic? Currently, I am only using object caching.

    Since I assume page caching is out, is there any other way/tips to improve the search for heavy traffic?

    My site isn’t live yet, but I can only assume the search would get bogged down by default if the site has a lot of concurrent users.

    Hi Henry,

    Hosting providers have their own way of optimizing database performance, so there is usually no need to cache search results in the application itself. Therefore BuddyPress and BP Profile Search do not cache member search results.

    However, if you notice performance issues caused by a very large number of concurrent searches, I am available to offer some suggestions tailored to your specific case.
