# Call to undefined function

 * Hi.
 * I just updated the JetPack plugin to 8.8.2 and our site started showing critical
   errors.
 * I turned on debug mode and grabbed the error/exception below. I had to deactivate
   the plugin to get our site back up and running.
 * Any thoughts?

   Just to reiterate, we had to deactivate the plugin to get the site back up and
   running.

 * You’ll need to access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your 
   hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation
   for specifics on these), navigate to /wp-content/plugins/ and delete the whole/
   jetpack/ directory there.
 * Once that’s done, you’ll be able to reinstall Jetpack normally from Plugins >
   Add New in your site’s Dashboard.
