# Callback URL error

 * I’m getting the following error: “Error connecting twitter {“errors”:[{“code”:
   415,”message”:”Callback URL not approved for this client application. Approved
   callback URLs can be adjusted in your application settings”}]} ”
 * I followed the instructions on [https://docs.revive.social/article/914-how-to-create-a-twitter-application-for-revive-old-post](https://docs.revive.social/article/914-how-to-create-a-twitter-application-for-revive-old-post)
   but i can’t get an callback to work in the dev setting on twitter. I use the 
   [http://yourwebsite.com/wp-admin/admin.php](http://yourwebsite.com/wp-admin/admin.php)
   line but still the error. I also read the other topics about this problem but
   nothing works for me.
 * My domain is in sub like [http://mydomain.com/v2](http://mydomain.com/v2)
 * Please help, what am i doing wrong?

 * I’m one step further.
 * Now with [http://mydomain.com/v2/wp-admin/admin.php](http://mydomain.com/v2/wp-admin/admin.php)
   i can add my twitter but it doesn’t show up in the account. When i try to make
   it work with [http://mydomain.com/wp-admin/admin.php](http://mydomain.com/wp-admin/admin.php)
   i get the “Error connecting twitter {“errors”:[{“code”:415,”message”:”Callback
   URL not approved for this client application. Approved callback URLs can be adjusted
   in your application settings”}]}” error.

 * Ok, got it working.
 * I went to [https://apps.twitter.com](https://apps.twitter.com) instead of [https://developer.twitter.com](https://developer.twitter.com)
   and copy paste the API key en API secret from there. Strange, but now it works.

 * Hi, you had to put [http://mydomain.com/v2/wp-admin/admin.php](http://mydomain.com/v2/wp-admin/admin.php)
   if you website was HTTPS or had WWW. in front the domain then you’d need to make
   sure you updated the URL in the twitter app settings to match what of your website.
