I recently moved a website for a client. In the past he had posted some links to his site when it was set to “default” for the permilinks.

I wanted to know from someone if it was possible to redirect the default permalinks, and if so how do you do it?

For example I want to redirect philipbloom.net/?p=13307 to http://philipbloom.net/blog/24hoursofneon/

    Thank you!

Just set up a new permalink structure. Everything should work just fine.

What I mean is he’s posted links like these philipbloom.net/?p=13307 in social media, and we want to redirect those to the correct post that there’s a new URL like http://philipbloom.net/blog/24hoursofneon/

If you manually type “blog” into it like philipbloom.net/blog/?p=13307 it goes to the right page, but if you don’t type that it doesn’t know where to go.

Do you mean that you moved his WordPress install from the root to the /blog/ subdirectory?

Have you already set up the new permalinks structure?

Yes that’s exactly what I did, and yes the new permalinks structure is #postname

    #Postname works for me http://www.gigart.de/#about
