Hi again. I have a ton of recurring events that have multiple times, depending on the day within the series. I have been using “All Day” with a note elsewhere that “multiple time events are shown as ‘all day, see listing for times.” or words to that effect. I am willing to live without “All Day” if there’s no way to add another field but would like to change the wording “All Day” to something like “Please see event times in Listing.”

Is there a way to substitute the text “All Day” to something like that? There’s no way I can make 9 different copies of the same event which is what I’d have to do otherwise with a few of these. That just seemed like the easiest solution. (I rarely have an all day event anyway so can live without that in favor of the other.)

you can try to use conditional placeholder instead like {all_day} Please see event times in Listing. {/all_day} in your events formatting

Hmm. Where would you put this {xyz} {/xyz} entry so it shows up on the side bar of the Event’s Page where an event time normally goes?

Alternate possibility though: Is there a way to simply have no time shown at all on the Events page? Since it’s a preset field entry, it appears the choices are either all day or you have to pick some sort of a time.

You can remove the #_EVENTTIMES placeholder from Default single event format under Events > Settings > Formatting > Events.

    Hi-

That would be a unversal all-or-nothing. If I go this route, I only want to remove any time from showing if I click “All Day.” But if I set an actual specific time, then I’d still want that to show. Is that possible?

Yes, can wrap the placeholders in one of the conditional placeholder tags:

The one you probably want to use in this case is {all_day}.
