Can I use WP-editor for external files?

    Hi,

    I’ve got a couple of external files (non posts/pages) in my wp-content folder, which I often include in posts using the AmberPanther WP Include File plugin.

    Can I open & edit these external files with the buid-in editor or is there a plugin which enables me to use the default WP-editor for external files?

    dotch,

    Unfortunately, you cannot open and edit external files with WP Editor. There may be a plugin to allow you to do that with WordPress, but WP Editor is not capable of it.

    If the files were kept in your actual themes folder, you could then use the theme editor to manipulate them (if they were php files)

    That’s about it really…
