The addon plugin won’t help you on that – you will need to use the shortcode as you did.

Are you in a position to debug the output using Query Monitor?

I use query monitor.

I used an auto tag plugin to display related custom posts. In future, I would like to use it once the related display function by tag is added. Thank you.

If you’re in Query Monitor, can you check what queries are run by the plugin for the two shortcode cases you mentioned above?
