# Can WordPress run on PostgreSQL?

 * I’m having problems with MySQL, and since my host supports PostgreSQL, I wonder
   if I could use that database system instead?

 * At this time, WordPress uses a few MySQL-isms that makes converting to PostgreSQL
   rather challenging.
 * If you search these forums, several people have announced that they started trying
   to convert; but we’ve never heard back from them. =(
