  • Hi, smoodone, & welcome. Your plugins folder is actually on your server, not your local computer. You’ll need an FTP client to access it. Alternatively, you can go to the file manager in your web hosting control panel.

It looks to me as though the problem is very likely w/your current theme. I’d rename the fork_in_the_road theme folder, try to log in, &, if successful, change the active theme to the 2014 theme & see if this doesn’t go away. Warning–when you rename the theme folder, your blog will actually go blank until you make another theme active–it’s expected.

Let us know if you either need more assistance, or if this resolves the problem. If the latter, please mark the thread as ‘Resolved’ so we can better assist others.

BTW, I’m a PW–we just cannot have church sites going down/spouting error msgs all over the place–this absolutely must get fixed smile.

Thanks for getting back to me and sorry it has taken me so long to respond I renamed the theme and tried to log in my blog did go white but I still cannot access the login page to switch the theme to the 2014 theme.

Is there a way to do it through FTP

smoodone, I’m able to access the login page. Of course I can’t actually log in as I don’t have the credentials (& please don’t give them out, this is after all a public forum). Please clear your browser’s cache & try again. I’m actually seeing your homepage though without errors.

Thanks I did just that and was able to login. I changed to the 2014 template and all looks good. I do however want to go back to the fork in the road template but when I do it goes back to the error. I am going to try disabling my plugin and see what happens.

    Thanks,

    Judy

Judy, glad we could help. Would you please mark the topic as resolved so we can move on to assist others.

Might I respectfully suggest that you contact the Fork in the Road developers & let them know the problems you’re having w/their theme since the WordPress 4.0 update.

May God bless your efforts & those of Centennial UMC.

Thank you for all your help I still have some work to do as I had to choose a different theme but at least it is up and running.

I will contact the Fork in The Road developers and let them know.
