# Cannot access blog: Internal Server Error

 * I have Yoko theme. This evening I had several windows open to my blog (I was 
   adding links to linky parties) and all of the sudden I was no longer able to 
   access my blog. Here is the notice I received:
    INTERNAL SERVER ERROR: The server
   encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete 
   your request.Please contact the server administrator, [webmaster@pitcherandplate.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/cannot-access-blog-internal-server-error/webmaster@pitcherandplate.com?output_format=md)
   and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done
   that may have caused the error.More information about this error may be available
   in the server error log.Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered
   while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Apache Server at 
   pitcherandplate.com Port 80 ************** I have no idea of what to do! Can 
   anyone advise me? Thank you.

 * I’d say give your host a call, 500 is a generic error code when there is no more
   specific information available. Port 80 is the standard port for traffic on the
   web, so no surprise there.

 * Thank you. I contacted my host and they fixed it. Said it was an error in the
   htaccess file.
