# Cannot activate EME

 * Been trying to tackle this for a couple days.. so i started from a fresh install
   and it’s still spitting out this error when I try to activate EME. Any ideas?
 * >  Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
   > Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in
   >  \wp-content\plugins\events-
   > made-easy\eme_rsvp.php on line 3461

 * Which php version are you using? This error can only happen if your version is
   old (and unsupported probably)

 * That’s a version from 2011, not even wordpress supports that version anymore …
   please upgrade to something more recent.
