# Cannot Activate WordFence – Recieving Proxy Error

 * I really like what Wordfence has to offer as far as Security on website. I am
   still new to wordpress… When I have downloaded Wordfence, it keeps getting me
   a proxy error and don’t know why…
    Proxy Error
 * The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
    The proxy
   server could not handle the request GET /wp-admin/plugins.php.
 * Reason: Error reading from remote server
 * I have checked the apache logs and they are giving me…
    The given path is misformatted
   or contained invalid characters…. Cannot map GET…
 * I have tried shutting off some other plugins and etc. It is only happening to
   your plugin and I really want to use this plugin.
 * Any ideas how to fix?
