# cannot authenticate API

 * hi there
    i followed the FAQ page and tried to authenticate the API but failed
   i generated the public key and secret key and after press authenticate, it goes
   to a 404 page of my site
 * in base url, i put [https://mywebsitedomain.com](https://mywebsitedomain.com)
 * anything i didnt wrong pls?
 * i already have SSL let’s encryp enabled.
    deleted the cache folder as well.

    thx for the help. i have authenticated it
 * however, what i want to achieve still not working
    i using some plugin that allow
   registration via facebook or google one click button login/ registration
 * i see they registered successfully, but the name and email is not passed to mautic..
   
   any idea pls

   plus So that emails goes to WordPress site also and also sent to mautic ?
